The refuge appears on a plain as soon as one of the paths in the middle of the woods that lead to it ends. I was there on the first of November when the autumn colors reigned supreme and the atmosphere was truly fantastic! It's a shame it was closed but fortunately there are several picnic tables and benches in front of the entrance where you can dine after the walk. Starting from the large car park in Pontesiei, which is located on the left after the tunnel that runs alongside the dam and the adjoining lake coming from Longarone, the path to follow is 485 which immediately climbs into a steep climb into the dense pine forest and beeches. The numerous waterfalls and small equipped points (very simple) with bridges and ladders to cross are very suggestive. The refuge can be reached in about 2 hours and it is possible to conclude the ring by taking path 490 which descends quickly and then becomes gentler at the end. The witches' lake and the Casera Zot are cute.
What a wonderful place.
A refuge in a beautiful setting. The path is a little challenging but it is worth it for both the view and the food. We had lunch at the outdoor tables where everything is very well looked after. Excellent food and very friendly staff!

A quiet place with a magical setting. Also add good food and lots of friendliness. To reach it the path is a little steep but does not present any major difficulties. The waterfall and the witches' lake are surprising.

I spent a wonderful weekend at the Bosconero refuge. Breathtaking view, place with attention to every detail, and a family and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the refuge's cuisine, delicious dishes and homemade bread and cakes! Impeccable management, I will happily return.
